Making Relationships Work

We are all in this together and right now being together might be more than you bargained for.  Work from home, work on pause or maybe even laid off...all can put stress on a relationship.  I would like to ease that stress.  For the next 6 weeks I am going to hold a 1.5 hour group session via Zoom for interested couples who would like to learn some skills to improve their relationships.  This is NOT therapy but education.  If you think that you need therapy please email me and we can talk in private about how to get you the help that you need.

Some topics include:

• Building your relationship Love Maps (super fun!)
• How to reduce stress together
• How to manage your own reactions
• How to talk about the places in your relationship where you often get stuck
• Supporting each other's dreams and building a life together

FAQs

Will I have to share personal problems and issues with the group?

Nope, couples exercises are done privatey.

Can I attend by myself or does my partner have to be there?

This is a couples workshop and both partners need to be present.

Are there any materials for the class?

 I will send some worksheets by email to you for each session.  Please print them out as would be helpful, if not just having them handy on a seperate device will work.  Please always have pens/pencils and paper readily available. Two nice reference books are The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by Dr. John Gottman and ACT with Love by Russ Harris.

Can I do just one session?

The first session is required, after that you can participate in as many sessions as you like.  My recommendation is to do all 6 sessions because you will get the most out of it.
