About the event

The transition to parenthood can be a very challenging time for couples.  The best gift you can give your new bundle of joy is your happy, healthy relationship.  This workshop is a shortened format of the full workshop that I offer, which is typically a two day workshop.  Each workshop is 1.5 hours long. This workshop is for all couples or caregivers raising a child together (ages 0-3). Please note that this is NOT therapy, it is education.  If you think you and your partner would benefit from therapy please email me for a private conversation.

You and your partner will learn simple ways to:

  • Keep your relationship the priority.
  • Transform fights into connection.
  • Set up your new family for healthy bonding long after the birth.
  • New ways to communicate with love and respect when stressed

FAQs

Will I have to share personal problems and issues with the group?

Nope, couples exercises are done privatey.

Can I attend by myself or does my partner have to be there?

This is a couples workshop and both partners need to be present.  This workshop can be for grandparents too.

I don't have childcare right now, can my child be present?

Yes, your child (age 0-3) can be present.  For more active toddlers please have an activity for them to do while you and your partner are doing exercises during the workshop.

Are there any materials for the class?

I will send some worksheets by email to you for each session.  If you can print them out that would be helpful, if not just having them handy on another device will work.  Please always have pens/pencils and paper readily available.  Two helpful resources are  And Baby Makes Three book by Dr. John Gottman and The Joy of Parenting by Amy Murrel and Lisa Coyne.

Can I do just one session?

The first session is required, after that you can participate in as many sessions as you like.  My recommendation is to do all 6 sessions because you will get the most out of it.
